As this cable is double insulated, it can be used for commercial grade 100V line amplifiers and speakers as well as low impedance Hi-Fi systems. The main purpose of 4 core speaker cable is to make installation easier, e.g., if you are running the cable through the wall. Having 4 cores within one cable means that you can just run a single cable through the wall and have it split off to each speaker.
