USB ports for peripherals are USB version 2.0 (2 pieces) and additionally version 3.0 available. This is particularly noticeable when connecting external hard drives. The processor now enables the playback of 4K content and this even on 2 pieces(Mini-)HDMI ports! Streams can be decrypted in H.264 and even H.265. Depending on the number of monitors connected (Mini HDMI adapter required!) The frame rate is up to 60 images. However, since new connections and positions were made when equipping ports, the previous housings can no longer be used with the RPi4. Housings for this model are of course available. These can be ordered in the usual color combinations, i.e. in red/white and black. However, the renewed increase in performance also requires a new energy supply. Unfortunately, the previously common MicroUSB power supply can no longer be used for this model. This requires the purchase of a USB TYPE-C power supply. The voltage on the USB-C connector should be 5V and the possible current should be 3A. We recommend using the official power supply to avoid problems. The plug-in power supplies are also available in the previous colors that match the housing.
