While the UK heats up - so does the Charcoal versus Gas debate!

I am sure many of you dusted down your barbeques over the Easter break - at times it felt more like the Summer holidays! My barbeque sits behind the garden shed - a pretty basic charcoal model - but it does the job. I wheeled it out today. Tasty.
My next door neighbour says I am daft dealing with the mess and hassle of using charcoal. He is a "gas man" - and no i don't mean he fixes your boiler ! He is not alone there are over 1.5 million owners in the UK and rising fast - you only have to look at the
variety available.
Cynics say that using gas does not give that barbeque flavour - I wonder if they are mistaking burnt with flavour.
Gas barbecues are a quick and hassle-free option. Easy to light, push-button ignition provides an instant flame and you can start to cook in about 10 minutes. This leaves more time for you to get on and enjoy your barbecue more quickly with a glass of wine - or beer!

The following lists some of the features your should think about when purchasing a barbeque:

  • How much do you wish to spend?
  • How often will you use your barbecue?
  • How many people would you wish to cook for?
  • Would you prefer the ease of gas or a traditional charcoal model?

What ever you choose cook safely and enjoy the rest of the sun! And as ever - search for the best price!
